Built on a raised slab off the ground to see over the house in front (which will be planted out of view), the scale of windows respond to rise up to capture height of Roys Peak in the foreground, and lower windows capture the distant peaks of Treble Cone and Aspiring. Progress 👍 Once you stop looking at the view, it’s nice to notice the many many architectural design decisions coming to life. Insulated blocks for a better thermal value, north facing concrete slab soaking up the sun’s thermal energy, 140mm studs allow more bulk insulation, angled roof pitches relating to the mountains, windows framing different views, the in-between spaces of pavilions, and the grounding of masonry elements vs timber frames.... all coming together nicely.
